Hey folks, welcome to the about page where people usually puff themselves up. Straight up, if you came here looking for my commercial work like headshots, interiors or product photography, you need to go to my dedicated commercial website. If on the other hand, you’re here for my personal work, photo training or writing, please, please, make yourself comfortable.
I’m Sean McCormack, and I love to take photos. I love to write about taking photos, so I’ve unwittingly transformed into someone that teaches a few aspects of photography. A lot of this is through my YouTube channel, but I also write for Digital Camera World, Kelbyone’s Lightroom Magazine and for Digital Photography School. The blog here also has content I don’t produce for other things.
You know it took a long time to come around to this. I’ve been doing workshops and seminars for years for the IPPA, the SWPP, camera clubs and societies. At one point I was giving up 2 weeks of the year to do an amazing residential workshop in the UK. I miss them. But it’s time to start doing my own training events.
Why would you train with me? Well. I was a beta tester for the original release of Lightroom and have been an Adobe Community Professional pretty much since. I’ve written 3+ books on Lightroom, including The Indispensable Guide to Lightroom CC, a 496 page tome that covers an incredible amount of Lightroom knowledge as well as a look at third party plugins. Speaking of plugins, I’ve written about pretty much all of the currently available plugins out there for Kelby one. So I know about quite a lot of programs.
I started out shooting bands, then started to shoot landscapes. About 2004, I started shooting in studio and have applied this knowledge to speedlights. I loved lighting so much that I explored it in depth, and continue to do so.
Hop in, have a look around, check out the channel too!
